20 Fluffy Fox Memes Full of Whimsical Woodland Energy

Foxes are the best animals to welcome spring with, despite their floofy and wintery appearance. Their whimsy and fun are the things that make them the pawrfect animal to look at memes of while sitting in a flowery field.

When it comes to foxes, people usually have in mind one of two things: You either think of a wintery fox on a snowy background, majestic and beautiful, as if a fantasy novel couldn't catch the magic emanating from it. Or, you think of an adorable fox domesticating itself, because that's the modern way we perceive them. But there's another way we can think about foxes, that doesn't necessarily involve them being fairytale creatures or an additional pet. And this way is having them in mind as the bearers of sweet spring energy.

Since spring started last week, we wanted to make sure we're bringing you the best animal whinsy fitted for the season. And fox memes were the best candidates for today. Why? Because we had this image in our mind of the meme in the thumbnail (the first one down here, you can check in below), of a smily fox on a green grass background, framed as if a news channel is reporting this impawrtant incident to the viewers. Honestly, if Animal Comedy were a news channel, this is how our news feed would look. But moreover, we thought this is the best way to scream into the vast space of the internet: "Spring is here! Start it fresh with some animal memes."

Oh, we love this classic fox meme. Gets us every time. This is what our friends at Know Your Meme had to say about it:
It F**ken Wimdy refers to a viral 2019 post by Tumblr user foxpost-generator consisting of a photograph (originally taken by Igor Shpilenok) of a fox getting blown by a strong gust of wind, captioned, "it f**ken WIMDY," an intentional misspelling of "windy." The image inspired redraws and memes referencing it over the following years while the quote also spread as a funny alternative to saying "windy."
And here below is a better version (in our humble opinion), that reminds us how lucky we are to finally get rid of winter. It looks harsh. And wimdy, of course.

One thing we can't really understand is how the “fox is a news item” became a sub-genre so popular. You just saw another breaking news of a very wholesome-looking fox, and here below is again, a post pretending to report on a wholesome activity foxes are doing. Why did it become a thing in the first place? We're not sure. But can we see why it's so popular? Absolutely. It's fluffing adorable.
